Position Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of a well-established and expanding organization as a Principal Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Consultant.
- This senior role involves significant engagement and technical leadership within the global LCA team.
- The organization is known for its complex LCA solutions, so the ideal candidate should be passionate about cutting-edge LCA methodologies.
- Utilizing advanced technology solutions in LCA activities, the role encourages exploration of innovative approaches to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- As a client-facing position, the candidate must possess strong technical skills while effectively managing large-scale projects with clients.
- The team consists of approximately six LCA specialists globally, and this role will serve as one of the leaders, supported by data visualization experts, analysts, and software developers.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering substantial business value to clients.
- Conducting intricate LCAs within diverse project contexts.
- Ensuring quality assurance throughout processes.
- Effectively communicating sustainability concepts.
- Completing comprehensive assessments to analyze material flows, ecological impacts, carbon emissions, and other environmental, economic, and social metrics.
- Preparing detailed reports.
- Managing projects, clients, and team dynamics.
- Enhancing team expertise through mentoring and training initiatives.
- Conducting technical research and disseminating results.
- Engaging in business development activities.
Required Skills
- Exceptional analytical abilities with proficiency in various LCA and analytical software tools, including GaBi, openLCA, or SimaPro.
- A minimum of five years of experience in delivering complex LCAs across different sectors.
- Demonstrable skills in business development and client relationship management.
- Strong communication and consulting capabilities.
- Experience in project management.
- A degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) at the Bachelor's or Master's level.
