Role Overview:
AMS is seeking a Risk Systems Business Analyst for a 6-month contract. This position offers a hybrid working model, combining both onsite and remote work.

Objective of the Role:
The Risk function's primary mission is to furnish Senior Management with comprehensive visibility and dynamic assessments of the risks associated with various operating divisions, including Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB), Retail Banking, and Investment & Protection Services (IPS).

Scope of the Risk Function:
The Risk function within CIB encompasses:

  • Market and Liquidity Risks: Addressing capital market activities, ALM Treasury, and IPS Business Units.
  • Counterparty Risks: Managing risks from derivative and repo transactions.
  • Credit Risks: Conducting credit evaluations and approvals for Financial Institutions, Sovereigns, Wealth Management clients, and other private clients.
  • Insurance Risks: Assessing risks arising from insurance operations.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Risk Systems Business Analyst, your duties will include:

  • Grasping the reporting requirements.
  • Understanding the systems that produce stress test outcomes.
  • Familiarizing yourself with the data model for stress test results.
  • Delivering high-quality outputs in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Analyzing and developing controls to validate data for template population.
  • Conducting data analysis and manipulation in Excel to assist in regulatory submissions.
  • Collaborating with Front Office, Risk, and Management stakeholders.
  • Creating explanatory documentation to outline your approach.
  • Addressing inquiries regarding the methodology for delivery.
  • Engaging with Market Risk teams to proactively resolve issues related to EBA Stress Test outputs.

Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A solid understanding of Risk/IT policies, procedures, regulations, and best practices in risk management, particularly in stress testing.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities to translate technical concepts and provide specialized guidance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively set expectations and coordinate delivery with team members.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation.
  • Experience with Excel, VBA, and SQL.
  • Familiarity with Python is advantageous but not mandatory.
