Kirklees Council is partnering with Ethos Academy Trust to find an exceptional individual to lead the organisation as CEO and Strategic Leader.

The Trust is a dynamic and innovative provider of education and support services, with a strong focus on meeting the needs of pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) and wider special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading multidisciplinary organisations, with a commercially minded approach and experience of excellent strategic planning and creative delivery.

They will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, effective, and compliant management of the Trust and its Academies, and for driving continuous improvement and inclusion at all levels.

The ideal candidate will be a clear advocate and voice for young people and families in the political arena, influencing decision-makers and policy setters on behalf of pupils with SEMH and wider SEND.

They will work closely with the Trust Board, Academy Leaders, and key members of the Central Team to achieve high performance and effectiveness across each aspect of the Trust's operations.

The role requires someone able to work with resilience, flexibility, and calmness in response to a changing daily environment, and the ability to operate with integrity and openness combined with a commitment to effective governance.

Ethos Academy Trust is committed to the safeguarding of children and young people. An enhanced disclosure from the DBS will be required for all roles. All candidates will also be subject to an online search for information about you as part of our due diligence and commitment to safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the efficient, effective, and compliant management of the Trust and its Academies;
  • Ensure that the Trust performs in a way which provides a high-quality education and service for all its pupils and wider stakeholders through the efficient use of resources and people;
  • Drive continuous improvement and inclusion at all levels;
