Key Responsibilities:
As the Finance Operations Supervisor, you will report directly to the Finance Manager and will be responsible for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the company’s invoice processing, authorization, and payment workflows. Your main duties will include:
  • Training and mentoring the accounts payable team, ensuring that changes in processes and policies are effectively communicated and supported.
  • Overseeing travel and entertainment credit card expenses using Concur, as well as processing and reimbursing cash expenses.
  • Providing assistance with escalated inquiries from various departments and suppliers to ensure timely payments.
  • Monitoring ledgers to identify overdue items and applying appropriate procedures to verify or rectify discrepancies.
  • Creating payment schedules for relevant entities and ensuring adherence to bi-weekly payment runs, with daily allocations as needed.
  • Regularly reviewing the cash book spreadsheet to support management accountants in cash flow reporting.
  • Maintaining tidy ledgers through weekly report monitoring.
  • Assisting the team with monthly reporting queries related to goods received but not invoiced.
  • Issuing customer sales credit notes through the relevant ticketing system.

Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a Finance Operations Supervisor who possesses:
  • Proficient IT skills, including Excel, email, and accounting systems.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Robust management skills with a professional demeanor, including confidentiality and clear controls.
  • Logical thinking and excellent organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility and a role model approach to encourage team adaptability and development.
  • Experience in a similar supervisory role with a proven track record in staff management.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background as a Purchase Ledger Supervisor or Manager and will be seeking an opportunity that allows for autonomy and the capacity to drive efficiency and improvements.

Work Environment:
This position offers a hybrid work model, with four days in the office and one day working from home.
