Overview of the Merchandising Assistant Role

Danielle Ward Recruitment is representing a prominent global retailer seeking a dedicated Merchandising Assistant to enhance their fashion division. This role offers a hybrid working model, requiring 2-3 days in the office.

Key Responsibilities of the Merchandising Assistant

  • Assist in range planning and product assortment strategies.
  • Analyze in-season sales performance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Utilize historical sales data to predict future market trends.
  • Review sales reports to evaluate performance against targets and communicate findings to the Merchandiser.
  • Continuously monitor product performance metrics.
  • Collaborate closely with Buying Teams and keep Logistics and Distribution informed.
  • Oversee delivery schedules and address any shipment issues promptly.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant UK regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the use of VLOOKUP functions.
  • Able to work independently while also seeking guidance when needed, particularly in a remote working environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of computer proficiency.
