About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to join our team at Ecclesiastical Insurance Group. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in developing and leading the delivery of finance business partnering in support of our business plan.

As a Financial Manager, you will oversee the finance operations function and ensure alignment with our Group Finance Strategy. You will work closely with our leadership team and Group Finance function to deliver analysis of results, plans, and forecasts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis: Deliver analysis of results, plans, and forecasts for Ecclesiastical Insurance Group to support the leadership team and Group Finance requirements.
  • Financial Planning: Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes and monitoring, ensuring robust documentation of assumptions, stress tests, drivers, and outputs.
  • Financial Guidance: Provide guidance and challenge in relation to commercial and financial aspects of the business to maximize profitability and efficiency.
  • Financial Reporting: Support the production and analysis of monthly/quarterly portfolio management MI and associated commentary to feed into relevant Ecclesiastical Insurance Group Leadership team and Board Meetings.
  • Team Leadership: Lead the finance team to deliver day-to-day operational activities, month-end close, and reporting requirements.
  • Financial Control: Ensure agreed standards of financial control, governance, and the risk management framework are embedded in all business processes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified Accountant
  • Excellent Analytical and Diagnostic Skills
  • Microsoft Excel Proficient, and Power BI Capabilities Preferred
  • Strong Commercial Understanding
  • Experience of Effective Stakeholder Management within a Commercial Environment
  • Proven Ability to Build Strong Relationships Whilst Maintaining Objectivity, Challenge, and Influence
  • Excellent Communicator with Ability to Negotiate at All Levels
  • Strong Leadership and Engagement Skills, with Demonstrable Ability to Lead, Direct, and Coach Both Own Direct Reports and Wider Team
