EA Associates is a thriving enterprise with a turnover of £50 million, currently in search of a Mechanical Operations Supervisor. This role is pivotal within the maintenance and facilities management sector of the construction industry, where we undertake a variety of projects for our clientele.

Role Overview

The selected candidate will bolster the existing mechanical management team, focusing on mechanical systems including HVAC, gas systems, air conditioning units, and mechanical plumbing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee small-scale projects and maintenance tasks across diverse clients and locations, ranging from minor component replacements to significant plant upgrades.
  • Support the department in identifying opportunities during Planned Maintenance visits, addressing defects, parts replacements, and implementing preventative strategies to avert equipment failures.
  • Manage key client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and fostering strong working partnerships.
  • Take charge of contract execution, maintaining daily oversight of project timelines, compliance, and risk management to protect the company's financial interests.
  • Effectively manage personnel on projects, including subcontractors, to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Uphold standards of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental management, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and company policies.
  • Assist department heads, including the Maintenance Director and estimators, in the tendering process, contributing to the development of proposals and securing new business opportunities.
  • Monitor and mitigate risks associated with all projects, maintaining an updated risk register.
  • Conduct regular site audits to ensure adherence to QSHE standards, providing at least one report per month.
  • Review proposed contracts to identify and negotiate any non-standard clauses prior to finalization.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in managing mechanical engineering teams.
  • Proficient in adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Possession of a full UK driving license.
  • CSCS Card holder.
  • Minimum qualification of Mechanical NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
  • Desirable certifications include Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling, and Working at Height.
