Youth Violence Prevention Programme Manager
2 months ago
Position: Youth Endowment Fund Programme Manager
The mission of our organization is to deter children and adolescents from engaging in violence. We achieve this by researching effective strategies and fostering a movement to implement these insights in practice.
Critical to our success is the selection of projects for funding and evaluation, ensuring that we administer our financial support and assessments with the utmost quality. Our Programme Managers play a pivotal role in identifying, evaluating, financing, and supporting initiatives aimed at curbing youth violence.
Our Programme Managers come from diverse professional backgrounds. We seek individuals with experience in areas such as youth services, law enforcement, criminal justice, education, or community engagement in local decision-making.
If you possess specialized knowledge in any of these fields, we encourage you to highlight this in your application.
As a Programme Manager, your responsibilities will encompass:
- Ensuring we select the most suitable organizations by evaluating funding proposals, critically analyzing implementation strategies and budgets, engaging with potential grantees, and conducting site assessments.
- Collaborating closely with grantees, external evaluators, and our internal evaluation team to guarantee that the funded activities are amenable to evaluation.
- Being mindful of YEF's commitments to racial equity in funding and ensuring accountability for both ourselves and our grantees in achieving these objectives.
