Are you an experienced Litigation Solicitor with a focus on Property and Commercial matters looking for a new opportunity with a prestigious legal firm?

Due to an increase in demand for litigation services, our client is on the lookout for a skilled Property/Commercial Litigation Solicitor with a solid background in various aspects of Property and Civil/Commercial Litigation to join their dynamic Dispute Resolution team. Your knowledge and experience will be crucial in driving the growth of the department.

You will be responsible for managing a varied caseload for a diverse clientele, including private individuals and small to medium-sized enterprises. This role requires close collaboration with colleagues from the Family and Residential Property departments, as their clients often include landlords and leaseholders.

  1. Boundary, Building, Dilapidations and Disrepair, Neighbour, Tolata and Service Charge Disputes
  2. Commercial Lease Renewals
  3. Rent Reviews
  4. Residential and Commercial Landlord & Tenant Possession Claims
  5. Tenants' Rights to Purchase and Withholding of Consent by Landlords
  6. Contested Probate
  7. Breaches of Covenant and Easements

Commercial Litigation:

  1. Anti-Trust/Competition, Chancery and Civil Fraud Litigation
  2. Building/Construction, Civil Litigation, Contractual, Intellectual Property, Shareholder and Partner Disputes
  3. Debt Recovery
  4. Defamation
  5. Enforcing Foreign Judgments in the UK
  6. Injunctions
  7. Professional Negligence
What Will Be Expected of You?
  1. To manage a variety of Commercial and Property Litigation and Dispute Resolution cases
  2. To communicate effectively with clients while adhering to client care standards
  3. To ensure accurate recording of time spent on all casework
  4. To ensure that cases are billed upon conclusion and payments are recorded
  5. To handle all routine correspondence, negotiations, and advocacy
  6. To undertake necessary administrative tasks
  7. To provide supervision when appropriate and report to supervisors when needed
Is This the Right Position for You?
  1. Experience in a comprehensive range of property litigation matters, including acting for landlords in possession, disrepair, and tenancy disputes
  2. The ability to conduct own advocacy at the county court or tribunal is advantageous
  3. Exposure to privately paying work with individuals and small to medium-sized businesses
  4. Knowledge of alternative funding arrangements such as CFAs and DBAs is desirable
  5. Experience in marketing or networking in previous legal roles and a willingness to engage in business development is beneficial
