Highways Operations Director

The Recruitment Co. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Highways Operations Director. This position offers a competitive salary of £45,000 per annum and is based in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage supervisory staff and operational teams delivering Highway Cyclical and Reactive Maintenance services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency levels and enhance financial performance.
  • Identify and pursue innovative commercial opportunities to drive company growth and expansion.
  • Oversee the training and development of staff to maximize performance and productivity.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with clients and customers through effective communication and stakeholder management.
  • Manage financial targets and budgets for the contract, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant policies, procedures, and legal obligations, including Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain to optimize service delivery and ensure seamless operations.
  • Act as a deputy to the Contract Manager as required.

Requirements:

  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in Highways management and operations, with a strong track record of success.
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context.
  • Strong IT skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
