About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales and Service Manager to join our team at MKM Building Supplies Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and delivering exceptional customer service in the plumbing and heating category.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to grow the customer base and increase sales revenue
  • Provide quotations and negotiate prices with customers to meet their needs and exceed their expectations
  • Purchase materials and manage stock levels to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize waste
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Take a proactive approach to sales and service, identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales targets and improve customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Proven sales experience in a plumbing and heating merchant environment or a builder's merchant environment
  • Sound knowledge of plumbing and heating products and services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Computer literate and proficient in using sales and inventory management systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets
