We are seeking an experienced and skilled Lead Nurse to join our Therapeutic Apheresis Services team at NHS Blood and Transplant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality Therapeutic Apheresis services to patients and facilitating the collection of special donations within our designated region.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and lead a team of nurses to provide safe and effective Therapeutic Apheresis services.
- Be responsible for all aspects of nursing and clinical care of patients, ensuring a safe environment.
- Develop and implement clinical standards and best practices within the team, ensuring compliance with policy frameworks.
- Provide clinical expertise and guidance to the team, promoting excellence in patient care.
- Communicate effectively with donors and stakeholders, using tact and diplomacy when discussing complex issues.
- Registered Nurse with current Nursing and Midwifery Council registration.
- Master's degree or equivalent relevant experience gained working at senior nurse level.
- Leadership and/or management training or experience equivalent to degree/Diploma level.
- Teaching/assessment qualification, such as ENB 998 or Mentorship in Practice.
- Evidence of recent post-registration/educational learning and continuous professional development.
