Pharmacy Manager Opportunity

Spire Dunedin Hospital is seeking an experienced and skilled Pharmacy Manager to lead our pharmacy team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and forward-thinking individual to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

About the Role

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the pharmacy team, ensuring the delivery of an exemplary pharmacy service that meets the needs of our patients and staff.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance the pharmacy service and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the safe and effective use of medicines, and to promote a patient-focused approach to healthcare.
  • Lead on the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current legislation and professional standards.
  • Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing pharmacy team, providing coaching and mentoring to ensure the delivery of excellent patient care.

Requirements

  • Be a registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and have a strong track record of leadership and management experience in a pharmacy setting.
  • Have a deep understanding of pharmacy practice and the ability to lead and manage a team of pharmacists and support staff.
  • Be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels, and have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Have a strong commitment to quality improvement and patient safety, and be able to lead and implement initiatives to enhance the pharmacy service.
