Customer Service Consultant

At World Courier (UK) Ltd, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Consultant to join our team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our Customer Service team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and client relations within a niche premium logistics company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and respond to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide quotes and negotiate pricing according to client specifications
  • Monitor and track shipments, ensuring timely delivery and updating clients accordingly
  • Enter information into our proprietary databases and maintain accurate records
  • Liaise with other offices to ensure seamless shipment execution
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients, demonstrating professionalism on the phone and in the office
  • Comply with all relevant policies, procedures, safety rules, and regulations
  • Assist with customer problems, such as delays, missing shipments, and price adjustments
  • Communicate with WC Sales to address client feedback, potential new business, and coordinate special orders
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in logistics, supply chain, or pharmaceutical sectors is advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided
  • A levels or equivalent education
  • Good knowledge of computers and MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills and proven problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask as required
What We Offer:
  • Starting salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum
  • Bonus: 5% (on-target bonus plan)
