Category Insights Manager

Barclay Meade is seeking a skilled Category Insights Manager to drive category management and commercial strategies. The ideal candidate will have experience in data analysis, insights, and storytelling, preferably in the FMCG or customer-centric environment.

The Category Insights Manager will work closely with procurement, sales, category management, and commercial teams to develop strategic vision and direction for category/product strategies, aiming to maximize revenue and profitability for both the business and customers.

Using financial, sales, category, and consumer/shopper insights, the Category Insights Manager will create a compelling story to drive business and customer sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Relationship Management with major retailers
  • Deliver recommendations for range, space, and merchandising layouts of the category
  • Support Category Managers and Commercial Managers with project and NPD opportunities
  • Identify category opportunities
  • Own budgeting, tracking, and reporting processes
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in an Insights or Category-related role within Food, FMCG, or retail
  • Experience working with customers in the retail industry and building relationships
  • Ability to analyze data and trends from various sources
  • Stakeholder influencing skills
  • Storytelling skills
