About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Palliative Medicine Specialist to join our team at Phyllis Tuckwell Memorial Hospice Ltd. As a Consultant in Palliative Medicine with Education, you will play a vital role in providing supportive and end-of-life care to individuals living with advanced or terminal illnesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct clinical care in the community, with the expectation to rotate to the inpatient unit over time.
  • Support professional activity (SPA) time dedicated to developing and delivering educational activities to our multidisciplinary team and external colleagues.
  • Collaborate with our established Learning and Development department to design and implement palliative care education programs.
Requirements
  • High level of palliative medicine knowledge and expertise.
  • Enthusiasm and skills for educating healthcare professionals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a busy team.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
