About the Company: Our client is a premium Hotel & Country Inn group in North Yorkshire, renowned for its Rosette Standard cuisine.
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to support our talented kitchens throughout the region, covering holidays, occasional shortages, and events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the group Executive Chef in managing the kitchens and developing menus and kitchen cultures.
- Work alongside the Executive Chef to ensure the highest standards of cuisine and service are maintained.
- Develop and implement new menu ideas and kitchen initiatives to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
- Manage kitchen staff, including training, development, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef in a similar environment, ideally with a Rosette Standard background.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent culinary skills, with a passion for innovation and creativity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary of £35,000 plus mileage allowance.
- The opportunity to develop the menus and kitchen cultures of our venues, working alongside the Executive Chef.
- A loyalty scheme payable every 6 months.
- The chance to work in some of the region's finest kitchens, cooking up to a 2 Rosette level.
