Security Operations Team LeadWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Operations Team Lead to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of security analysts within our Security Operations Center (SOC). You will play a critical role in ensuring the security posture of our organization by overseeing the monitoring, detection, and response to cybersecurity threats.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Guide, mentor, and support a team of 12 Security Analysts, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Incident Response Management: Oversee the investigation and resolution of security incidents, ensuring timely escalation and effective remediation.
- Process Optimization: Develop and refine SOC processes, workflows, and playbooks to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness in threat detection and incident response.
- Performance Monitoring: Track team performance through key metrics and indicators, providing regular feedback and conducting performance reviews to drive continuous development.
- Communication & Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact between the L1 SOC team and senior management, ensuring clear and concise communication regarding critical incidents and security updates.
- Training & Development: Identify skill gaps within the team and coordinate training sessions to ensure they remain at the forefront of cybersecurity trends, tools, and techniques.
- Shift Management: Ensure seamless 24/7 SOC operations by managing shift schedules and coverage effectively.
- Tool Proficiency: Maintain expertise in security tools and platforms, ensuring the team leverages them effectively for threat detection and incident response.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Proven experience in a SOC environment, with a minimum of 3-5 years in cybersecurity.
- Strong leadership skills with prior experience managing or leading a team.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and incident response procedures.
- Familiarity with SOC tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and threat intelligence platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are highly desirable.
