Job Title: Security Operations Team Lead

Telefónica Tech is seeking a highly skilled Security Operations Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Security Operations Center (SOC), you will be responsible for leading a team of security analysts in monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity threats.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of 12 security analysts, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and equipped to handle security incidents effectively.
  • Oversee the investigation and response to security alerts, ensuring incidents are escalated and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Develop and refine SOC processes, workflows, and playbooks to enhance the team's efficiency and effectiveness in threat detection and incident response.
  • Monitor team performance through KPIs and metrics, providing regular feedback and conducting performance reviews to drive continuous improvement.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the L1 SOC team and higher-level management, ensuring critical incidents are reported and communicated appropriately.
  • Identify skill gaps and coordinate training sessions to ensure the team stays up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, tools, and techniques.
  • Ensure proper shift coverage and scheduling to maintain 24/7 SOC operations, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous monitoring.
  • Work with security tools and platforms, ensuring the team effectively utilizes them for threat detection and incident response.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a SOC environment, with a minimum of 3-5 years in cybersecurity.
  • Strong leadership skills with prior experience managing or leading a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and incident response procedures.
  • Familiarity with SOC tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and threat intelligence platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Information:

Must have the right to live and work in the UK, currently based within the UK, and have been a UK resident for four out of the last five years. Must have full and valid UK driving license and access to own transport to travel between sites. Compliance to ISO27001, ISO27018, ISO20000, ISO22301, and ISO9001 is essential to our business.
