We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Trainer to join our education team at HMP Rye Hill. As a Construction Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Level 2 Bricklaying lessons to groups of up to 16 learners, helping them to develop their vocational skills and secure future employment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver Level 2 Bricklaying lessons to groups of up to 16 learners
- Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of learners
- Assess and provide feedback to learners on their progress
- Work collaboratively with the education team to ensure a positive learner experience
- Contribute to the development of the education program at HMP Rye Hill
- Teaching qualification or subject specialist qualification
- At least 2 years' experience in the relevant vocational area
- Willingness to gain PTLLS within 6 months
- Commitment to gain a subject-specific qualification to allow training to Level 3 within 2 years
- Commitment to gain an assessor award required by relevant Awarding Bodies within 1 year
- Hold at least a Level 1 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE) or be willing to commit to gaining the qualification(s) within 1 year
- Gain, hold, and maintain a clean, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
