About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Compliance Analyst to join our team at Dentons Canada. As a key member of our Risk and Compliance function, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our organization operates in a compliant and risk-based manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and clear medium to high complexity conflict checks, managing legal and commercial issues across our global network.
  • Adhere to our internal compliance policies and procedures, ensuring that our organization remains compliant with relevant legislative requirements.
  • Assist with departmental projects and initiatives, driving business growth and improvement.
  • Provide training and mentoring to new team members, promoting knowledge sharing and development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the requirements of the position.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, preferably law.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Relevant experience in conflicts and confidential information, preferably in an international law firm or professional services firm.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and produce accurate, reasoned opinions on regulatory matters.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality work to tight deadlines, while upholding our organization's values and promoting diversity and inclusion.
