About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Development Engineer to join our team at Veolia. As a key member of our energy solutions team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative energy systems that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop energy systems, including HVAC, BMS, LTHW, Chilled Water, District Energy, Heat Pumps, Fuel Cells, Low Carbon Heat Network, Steam and CHP.
  • Act as Technical Lead for selected Business Development opportunities, leading the development of robust solutions and offerings.
  • Ensure all relevant departments are involved in the bid team and lead the development of a robust solution and offering.
  • Prepare tender packages for outline project design, working with the construction teams to develop programmes, resourcing, procurement strategies, risks identification and mitigation.
  • Manage internal approval processes for governance and risk mitigation.
  • Carry out energy audits and surveys, identifying Energy Conservation Measures (ECM) at potential customer sites.
  • Assess existing system configuration and operation at client sites, identifying potential interventions to improve system efficiency.
  • Support the Go/NoGo process, assessing the technical and commercial viability of opportunities.
  • Provide and develop technical capability through feasibility studies and option assessment on industrial and building services energy saving measures.
  • Develop energy generation / efficiency / distribution solutions in partnership with our clients, meeting their needs for resilience, carbon and energy cost savings across a project life cycle.
  • Build close relationships with trusted suppliers, developing technical solutions and preparing quotations.
  • Identify and manage development Project Risks, effectively managing the risk escalation process.
Requirements
  • Degree educated in engineering, energy or power generation disciplines.
  • Experience designing energy systems.
  • Experience working within the energy industry.
  • AutoCAD experience.
  • UK Driving Licence.
