About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Assistant/Intervenor to join our team at Home Care Direct. As a key member of our support team, you will play a vital role in promoting the independence and well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized support to enable effective communication and information reception
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as food preparation, cleaning, and personal care
  • Liaise with family members and professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Deliver a daily exercise regime based on the client's physiotherapy program
  • Encourage independence and confidence-building activities
Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS disclosure
  • Understanding of multisensory impairment and its implications
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • BSL qualification and experience of hand-under-hand signing and Makaton desirable
  • Good IT skills
  • Full UK driving license
  • Commitment to long-term care for one client in a person-centered way
  • Willingness to be trained to CQC standards
  • Reliability, non-judgmental attitude, and compassion
  • Commitment to confidentiality and dignity
