Position Overview

A CNC Precision Technician is required to program, set up, and operate various multi-axis CNC machinery according to detailed specifications while utilizing feedback from component measurements.

The role involves the production of high-accuracy intricate parts and assemblies.

Objective of the Role

The primary objective is to program, set up, and operate multi-axis CNC machines in accordance with precise instructions and to leverage measurement feedback for optimal results.

Core Responsibilities

  • Execute engineering tasks utilizing both CNC and manual machines along with hand tools.
  • Employ a range of measurement instruments to ensure quality standards.
  • Complete all necessary documentation for each work order and provide status updates as required.
  • Identify standard tooling and equipment necessary for the designated area, ensuring their availability, ordering replacements, and managing storage.
  • Perform basic maintenance and initial fault diagnosis on equipment within the scope of training.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Skilled in operating and programming CNC machinery.

Required Experience

  • Completion of an apprenticeship or relevant experience in an engineering discipline such as mechanical, software, or electronics.
  • Strong grasp of engineering principles and manufacturing methodologies.
  • Experience in producing components to high precision tolerances (micron level).
