Position: Transport Operations Assistant

Location: Leicester

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6am - 2pm

This position is ideal for a skilled administrative professional with substantial experience in a fast-paced logistics or customer service environment.

If you possess a background in shipping or transport and are eager for a new opportunity, consider this role with one of Europe's leading manufacturers in the paper hygiene sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and issue transport and travel documentation for all outgoing shipments from the facility.
  • Create accurate picking and loading lists for the warehouse.
  • Coordinate with various departments to address any issues that may arise.
  • Complete customs documentation accurately and submit it to the appropriate authorities and management.
  • Identify discrepancies in sales orders for goods to be delivered and collaborate with relevant departments to resolve these issues.
  • Verify the weight of shipped products against recorded values in the system.
  • Address any weight discrepancies noted in shipped products compared to system records.
  • Work alongside relevant departments to troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies in the system.
  • Assist corporate departments with distribution logistics inquiries.
  • Ensure proper management of processes in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and organize all documentation produced to ensure compliance with company standards.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and telephone skills.
  • Ability to work in an organized manner.
  • Proficient IT skills and computer literacy.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively.
  • Knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team to resolve issues.
  • Previous experience in a transport or shipping department is preferred.
