Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head of Estates to join our team at Venn Group. As a key member of our estates management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational estates and external clients on behalf of the Heads of Estates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Manage all aspects of the estates workshop, including performance, expenditure, essential training, and sickness.
  • System Management: Ensure the effective management of MICAD and Zetasafe systems.
  • Maintenance Management: Ensure the workshop team hits KPIs for planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Cost Improvement: Identify and deliver cost improvement plans while obtaining contracts and sourcing contractors.
  • Collaboration: Work with senior estates managers to ensure the delivery of required planned maintenance across the estates to meet statutory requirements.
  • Authorisation: Act as an Authorised Person for disciplines within the post-holder's skillset, and provide backup support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's Degree in a Building Services or Construction discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Certification: P405 management of asbestos (or willingness to complete within 12 months of starting in the role).
  • Experience: Significant estates leadership experience within a public sector organisation.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of CAFM systems (MICAD) and their results.
  • Background: Experience working in Estates/Facilities Management, preferably within public sector organisations.
