Welfare and Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welfare and Operations Manager to join our dynamic team at Manpower UK Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining excellent standards of facilities and services.

The Role:
  • Oversee daily operations and liaise with stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with mandatory and contractual health and safety requirements, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of site expenditures and activities, providing accurate and timely information for management.
  • Conduct daily walkaround inspections to supervise facilities and occupants, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Attend stakeholder meetings and maintain up-to-date site standard operating procedures, including business continuity and emergency evacuation plans.
  • Manage anti-social behaviour and ensure the safety and timely relocation of residents, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Oversee property inspections and repairs, ensuring excellent standards of maintenance and upkeep.
  • Supervise day-to-day and night operations of staff and subcontractors, providing guidance and support to ensure effective delivery of services.
The Person:
  • Proven experience in managing staff and subcontractors, with a strong track record of leadership and team management.
  • A previous background in a similar environment, such as a prison or secure facility, is highly desirable.
  • A keen eye for detail and a professional curiosity to ensure best practices and compliance with regulations.
  • Quick decision-making abilities, especially in safety-critical situations, with a strong focus on prioritization and time management.
  • Strong prioritization skills to meet deadlines and manage expectations, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with safeguarding and managing vulnerable residents, with a strong commitment to their welfare and well-being.
