Job Summary:

iO Associates - UK/EU is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Handling Engineer to support our client in a contract role. The successful candidate will work closely with the Mechanical Design Manager to ensure the smooth execution of project work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the creation of design documentation, 3D models, and 2D CAD drawings.
  • Contribute to design reports and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
  • Collaborate with the design team to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge in areas such as Mathcad, Navisworks, Revit, and Inventor.
  • Support the project team in achieving project goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior mechanical handling engineer role.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawing and design principles.
  • Experience with Mathcad, Navisworks, Revit, or Inventor.
  • Safety-critical background, preferably in nuclear or defense industries.
  • Ability to work in a remote environment and collaborate with a distributed team.

Clearance and Eligibility:

The successful candidate will be required to undergo BPSS clearance to obtain SC clearance. Additionally, the candidate must be a sole UK national to be eligible for this project work.
