Job Details

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Southery Academy. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers in the classroom, providing individualized support to students as needed.
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional development.
  • Support the planning and preparation of lessons, including preparing materials and resources.
  • Assist with the supervision of students during breaks and lunchtime, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Contribute to the development of students' skills and knowledge, working closely with teachers to identify areas of need.

Requirements:
  • Qualifications in English and Maths at Level 2 (GCSE A-C or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in a teaching or support role, preferably in a primary school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other staff.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
