About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior psychiatrist to join our team in Mackay, Queensland, Australia.

The Australian system for the assessment and registration of consultant psychiatrists trained outside of Australia is undergoing changes, making it easier, faster, and cheaper for psychiatrists trained in the UK and Ireland to move to Australia.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced psychiatrist to fill this role, which requires relocation to Mackay, Queensland.

Key Highlights
  • A competitive 1st year package up to AU$554k plus on-call allowances, depending on years of consultant-level experience.

Selection Criteria
  • High-level clinical knowledge and proficiency in general adult psychiatry in a range of settings.
  • FRANZCP or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience and leadership in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Clinical practice and service delivery to encourage early intervention and prevention.
  • Willingness to teach undergraduates, postgraduates, and other healthcare professionals.
