We are currently seeking dedicated individuals for positions within our Children's Houses. As a member of the staff team, you will play a crucial role in nurturing and supporting young individuals in care, adhering to National Standards and Council policies. Your contributions will facilitate the holistic development of these young people by promoting a healthy lifestyle, engaging them in a variety of stimulating activities, and serving as a consistent, caring adult role model.

In collaboration with key colleagues and partners, you will also assist in assessment and care planning, participate in reviews and meetings as necessary, and prepare written reports and care plans, contributing to the execution of these plans.

Candidates must possess an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or an HNC in Social Care, or hold one of the qualifications listed for registration as a residential childcare worker with SSSC. Moderate experience in social care, whether in a personal or voluntary capacity, is essential. We seek individuals who are flexible, self-motivated, and enthusiastic, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and a commitment to empowering children and young people to reach their full potential. If you do not already hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or HNC in Social Care, you will be required to work towards obtaining one within the timelines set by SSSC. Additionally, you should be capable of undertaking a Physical Capacity test in accordance with Promoting Positive Behaviour Guidance. Experience in Residential Childcare is advantageous.

Membership in the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is mandatory prior to starting this role, and you must be registered or eligible for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
