About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software and Systems Architect to join our Core Development Team at Avantis Education. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in advancing our existing headsets and future designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our Senior Developers to design and develop cutting-edge software and systems for our headsets.
  • Work closely with our manufacturing and software partners to develop and implement OS and core apps, system development, and platform capabilities.
  • Manage time and deliverables while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Engage and adopt best practice development processes, using well-understood frameworks such as Agile, Scrum, and Kanban.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Android application development and/or Linux system development.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in VR content development, games, immersive entertainment, education, and similar fields.
Requirements
  • Strong background in software and systems engineering, with experience in developing OS and firmware for Android, ideally for VR.
  • Excellent understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban development processes.
  • Proficiency in languages such as C++, Java, Kotlin, Java, and Python.
  • Knowledge of Android Studio and similar development tools.
  • Experience in VR content development, games, immersive entertainment, education, or similar fields.
