About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Data Protection Specialist at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the Trust's compliance with data protection legislation and freedom of information act.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of data protection tasks, including coordinating responses to freedom of information requests and processing subject access requests.
  • Investigate data breaches and provide advice and guidance on data protection and information governance.
  • Facilitate and review assessments of data privacy, data sharing, and processing agreements.
  • Provide excellent IT skills, attention to detail, and effective interpersonal skills when liaising with staff across the Trust.
Requirements
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment and agile.
  • Knowledge of current information governance and data protection legislation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate specialist complex issues effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, co-operating to work together and in conjunction with others and willing to help and assist wherever possible and appropriate.
