Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and support to the Optometry Department, ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care and outcomes.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction, quality of care, and departmental performance.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and effective communication.
- Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development and growth.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Optometry and registration with the General Optical Council.
- Postgraduate qualifications or equivalent specialist knowledge in Hospital Optometry, acquired over 10+ years of experience.
- Independent prescribing or progress toward this qualification is desirable.
- Excellent clinical and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues, patients, and stakeholders.
