Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join our dynamic team and support the management of our existing team and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Will Drafting: Advise on and complete straightforward Wills, as well as those including Trusts (IPDI, Disabled Person and Discretionary Trust) and provide guidance on tax implications.
  • Estate Administration: Manage estates from start to finish, including intestate estates, and handle Inheritance Tax, income tax, and capital gains tax issues.
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney: Register and advise on Enduring Powers of Attorney.
  • Court of Protection Work: Provide support and guidance on Court of Protection matters.
  • Elderly Client Matters: Offer holistic advice to elderly clients, including tax planning and Trusts administration.
  • Capacity Issues: Assist with capacity issues and provide guidance on related matters.
  • Tax Planning: Advise on tax planning strategies for clients.
  • Trusts Administration: Manage Trusts and provide guidance on related matters.
  • Professional Connections: Establish and maintain connections with accountants, financial advisers, and care agencies to provide comprehensive advice to clients.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a busy private client department, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Qualifications: STEP membership is a distinct advantage, but not essential.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
