Job Overview

The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is on the lookout for a dedicated and proactive Pediatric Clinic Support Specialist, who possesses a keen understanding of children's disabilities, to become a vital part of our team.

In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of all community pediatric clinics throughout the area, making certain that all essential patient information is readily accessible to assist the medical professionals during consultations.

Your responsibilities will include providing support to children with various disabilities, including those with complex needs and challenging behaviors, as well as their families or caregivers, during their visits to community pediatric clinics. You will be tasked with measuring and weighing all children and young individuals prior to their appointments with the doctor and aiding families in completing any necessary documentation. Additionally, you will play a key role in the daily operations of the service, which includes administrative and housekeeping tasks.

Regular support for the Child Protection clinic will also be part of your duties.

A willingness to travel across the area to assist with local clinics is essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide assistance to children with complex disabilities and challenging behaviors, along with their families or caregivers, during community pediatric clinic visits.

- Collaborate as part of the Community Pediatric Service to support a variety of community clinics, including those focused on Looked After Children and Child Protection.

- Ensure the safe and effective operation of all clinics.

- Guarantee that all necessary patient information is available to support medical staff in community pediatric clinics.

- Facilitate the smooth and efficient functioning of community pediatric clinics.
