Position Overview

Morrison Energy Services is seeking a dedicated Senior Project Coordinator to oversee our Electrical Transmission initiatives across the UK.

In this role, you will join our Electrical Transmission management team, responsible for supervising the civil and mechanical & electrical (M&E) delivery teams involved in various infrastructure projects.

Our Electrical Transmission division collaborates with clients on a variety of Infrastructure Project Development and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Capital projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the construction team in executing a range of M&E projects from inception to completion.
  • Implement strategic health, safety, and environmental management practices to uphold the highest standards.
  • Ensure project delivery aligns with established timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
  • Collaborate closely with the planning team to maintain delivery schedules and monitor progress.
  • Foster a cohesive management team environment among the Construction Manager, Commercial Manager, Design Lead, and Project Engineers.
  • Manage project risks effectively.
  • Provide leadership and expertise on technical and contractual issues to facilitate timely resolutions.
  • Contribute to new contract proposals utilizing industry insights.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly Cost Value Reports (CVR) alongside the Commercial Manager.
  • Exhibit commercial acumen to guide the management team in achieving financial objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated project management experience within the electrical infrastructure sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Electrical Transmission and Distribution industry.
  • Proven ability to manage a diverse portfolio of projects with varying complexities.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Understanding of commercial management principles.
  • Adaptable and flexible in approach.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Possess a relevant Project Management qualification or equivalent.
  • A valid driving license and willingness to travel as needed.
