Job Title: Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Leonardo in Edinburgh. As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain software quality assurance plans in accordance with contractual conditions and company standards.
  • Estimate software quality assurance resources required to support projects.
  • Assess the ability of subcontracted companies to perform software development to required standards.
  • Assess projects for compliance with software development plans and processes.
  • Participate in software lifecycle reviews.
  • Perform software conformity reviews and physical/functional configuration audits.
  • Verify the release of deliverable software.

Requirements:

  • Further education and experience ideally in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or experience in Defence Electronics or similarly complex industry.
  • Demonstrate knowledge within the areas of AS9100 / ISO9001 and Continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge and practical experience of software quality.
  • Logical thinker, capable of harvesting complex data into actions with practical solutions that supports business goals.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style across all functions of the business.
  • Demonstrated experience working in high precision manufacturing environment.
