Key Responsibilities:- Insurance Team Leadership: Manage and motivate the Insurance Team to provide high-quality insurance advice and support to the organization.
- Financial Management: Ensure effective financial control and management of the insurance budget, including monitoring and reporting on claims and financial performance.
- Human Resource Management: Implement and manage human resource policies and procedures, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Insurance Advice and Guidance: Provide expert insurance advice and guidance to senior officers and other stakeholders, including interpreting policies and risks and developing strategies to minimize insurance risk.
- Claims Management: Manage claims made against the organization, including insured and self-funded losses, and work with insurers and external solicitors to build a defense.
- Insurance Budgeting and Reporting: Manage the insurance budget and produce regular reports on claims and financial performance, including identifying potential financial and reputational impacts.
- Qualifications: Degree-level qualification and fully qualified insurance professional (FCII) with a commitment to continuing professional development.
- Experience: 5 years of post-qualification experience in insurance in a large organization, with experience of working at a senior level within a finance department.
- Skills: Expertise in reviewing and analyzing financial performance, experienced in providing high-level insurance advice to senior officers, and experienced in speaking in public meetings.
Hybrid working available, with a requirement to work 2 days in the office ideally.
Pay: £29.78 per hour.
