Environmental Response Technician

Rapid response to environmental incidents is crucial in protecting the environment and human health. RSK Group is seeking an Environmental Response Technician to join our team in Rotherham, UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and respond to environmental incidents in urban and rural settings.
  • Apply techniques for containing and recovering contaminants, including oils and other pollutants.
  • Conduct tank inspections and leakproof testing.
  • Support general groundworks under the supervision of senior colleagues.
  • Participate in environmental monitoring, sample collection, and logging, as well as installation and maintenance of remediation systems.
  • Perform other site responsibilities, including waste management, inspection and maintenance of oil storage areas, and decontamination.
  • Routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and vehicles.
  • Stock management and adherence to RSK Group management systems.
  • Maintain accurate site notes and excellent communication skills.
Requirements:
  • A full, clean driving license.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Utilities/Civil/Construction Site Experience.
  • Excavator/dumper experience/certification.
  • Basic Project management experience.
  • BSc in a relevant environmental field.
  • CSCS and First aid certifications.
