**Job Title:** Claims Specialist

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Specialist to join our dynamic and collaborative Claims team at St Giles Group. As a Claims Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional claims service to our clients, ensuring professional and efficient management of all claims from inception to resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service in all aspects of the job, ensuring that clients receive a high level of satisfaction with the claims process.
  • Take incoming calls and direct them to the correct claims handler, ensuring that all calls are handled in a timely and professional manner.
  • Log and handle Buildings, Engineering, Public Liability, D&O, or Professional Indemnity claims, ensuring that all claims are processed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Take new claims information from managing agents or residents and assign claims references, ensuring that all claims are accurately recorded and tracked.
  • Log new claims on our claims management system and hand over initial information to claims handlers, ensuring that all claims are properly documented and communicated to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Chase additional information or insurance companies for updates, ensuring that all claims are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Learn the basics of what is covered under a Buildings or Engineering claim, ensuring that all claims handlers have a thorough understanding of the claims process.
  • Be the main point of contact for clients notifying claims and seeing the claim through to settlement, ensuring that all clients receive a high level of satisfaction with the claims process.
  • Ensure that clients are kept informed of claim progress, providing regular updates and communication throughout the claims process.
  • Flag up any suspicious claims to the Branch Manager, ensuring that all claims are properly investigated and resolved.
  • Provide accurate claims statistics to account handlers in a timely manner, ensuring that all claims data is accurately recorded and reported.
  • Keep accurate computer records filed in the agreed manner, ensuring that all claims data is properly documented and stored.
  • Question insurance company decisions that appear incorrect, ensuring that all claims are resolved in a fair and transparent manner.
  • Report any complaints to the Branch Manager immediately, ensuring that all complaints are properly investigated and resolved.

Requirements:

  • You will have claims handling experience, coupled with strong commercial awareness and a full understanding of insurance claims procedures.
  • You will be passionate about the delivery of exceptional customer service, applying TCF and KYC methodologies.
  • You will be able to use MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook, ensuring that all claims data is accurately recorded and reported.
  • You will be highly organized and have great time management skills, ensuring that all claims are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • You will have a positive 'can-do' attitude and be a natural problem solver, multi-tasker, and have a high level of attention to detail.
  • You will have excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, ensuring that all clients receive a high level of satisfaction with the claims process.
