Clinical / Counselling Psychologist / Psychotherapist / Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical / Counselling Psychologist / Psychotherapist / Therapist to join our team at the Croydon Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia Service.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to provide specialist psychological services to adults with sickle cell disease or thalassaemia. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assessments, treatments, and interventions to help individuals manage their condition and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions to adults with sickle cell disease or thalassaemia.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to help individuals manage their condition and improve their quality of life.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service evaluation and research initiatives.
  • Provide clinical supervision and consultation to junior colleagues.
Requirements
  • Recognised qualification in a core mental health profession, e.g. clinical psychology, social work, or occupational therapy.
  • Experience of working with adults with complex mental health needs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, carers, and colleagues.
  • Valid driving licence.
