We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Greater Manchester. As a key member of our civil engineering and groundworks team, you will be responsible for managing commercial risks, undertaking costs analysis, and providing advice on contractual claims.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and analyze commercial risks, developing effective responses to mitigate their impact
- Undertake costs analysis and provide expert advice on contractual claims
- Assist in establishing client requirements and undertake feasibility studies
- Perform risk and value management, cost control, and procurement strategy advice
- Prepare and analyze costing for tenders, allocating work to subcontractors as needed
- Subcontractor groundworks background, with experience running complex civil engineering and groundworks projects from inception to final account
- Civil engineering sector experience, ideally working for a groundworks subcontractor
- Proven track record of managing complex civil engineering and groundworks projects as a lead Quantity Surveyor
- Experience working in a fast-paced civil engineering environment
- Compiling and administering NEC subcontract contracts
We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £58,000, depending on experience, plus a car allowance, pension contributions, and holidays.
