Mechanical Design Drafter

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client, a Defence and Maritime supplier, on an initial 6 month contract at their site in Loudwater.
The ideal candidate will have a degree or higher in mechanical engineering and broad knowledge of all aspects of engineering, including systems, electrical, electro-mechanical, and rotating machinery.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Design and Development:
Generating drawings from models in CAD, carrying out minor elements of product design, and contributing to the development of engineering excellence within the business.
Technical Expertise:
Providing mechanical engineering expertise in support of future business opportunities, including designing to strict requirements such as shock, EMC, and thermal.
Communication and Collaboration:
Working closely with the team to provide mechanical engineering expertise and support, with strong communication skills and the ability to work in a hybrid working environment.
The successful candidate will have experience in manufacturing methods applicable to electrical enclosures, proficiency in AutoCAD Inventor, and good knowledge of materials and best practices in design lifecycle processes.
