Associate Director of Drug Metabolism

Bicycle Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company seeking a highly skilled Senior DMPK Scientist or Associate Director of Drug Metabolism to join our team. As a key member of our Quantitative Pharmacology group, you will be responsible for representing DMPK and designing non-clinical studies to support multiple projects from target identification through to candidate selection and regulatory submission.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and Implement DMPK Strategy: Develop and execute DMPK strategies for multiple projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Lead DMPK Activities: Oversee DMPK activities, including interactions with external CROs and internal project stakeholders, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with in-vivo pharmacology, toxicology, and clinical pharmacology teams to design experiments and understand preclinical PK/PD relationships.
- Track DMPK Budgets: Monitor and manage DMPK budgets for CROs and contribute to project spending forecasts.
- Education: MSc/PhD in a relevant scientific discipline, such as drug metabolism, pharmacology, or pharmaceutical sciences.
- Experience: Proven track record of problem-solving and successful delivery in DMPK drug discovery and/or development projects.
- Skills: In-depth understanding of DMPK science, with additional knowledge of related disciplines. Excellent organization and communication skills, with the ability to influence and adapt to different cultures and partner expectations.
