Meritus is seeking a Mechanical Architect to lead the delivery of missile mechanical architecture requirements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing the Missile Airframe Task Requirements Specification (TRS) and managing the mechanical interface with the launcher.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Defining the optimum mechanical architecture for all variants of the missile
  2. Ensuring mechanical compliance to the Airframe TRS for missile certificate of design
  3. Managing Mechanical & Thermal Interfaces across the Missile
  4. Developing proving logic for the validation of the Airframe
  5. Interface with and manage customer expectations throughout the development process
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Educated to degree level with 10 years' experience or an equivalent qualification
  2. Strong leadership skills and ability to establish a clear engineering vision
  3. Good knowledge & experience of missile mechanical design, including Static & Dynamic Analysis, Design for Environment, and Thermal Management
  4. Good understanding of broader engineering disciplines, including Aerodynamics, Testability, and Production
