About the Role

We are seeking a skilled refrigeration engineer to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in servicing and maintaining refrigeration systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks on refrigeration equipment, including dismantling, cleaning, and reassembling evaporators and other equipment.
  2. Identify and report any issues or problems with refrigeration systems, working closely with the team to resolve them.
  3. Work to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the workplace.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues to achieve project and company goals.
  5. Travel to various sites in and around Exeter, with occasional overnight stays required.
  6. Mentor and oversee the work of a trainee, ensuring they gain the necessary skills and knowledge.
  7. Provide excellent customer service, working closely with on-site customers to meet their needs and maintain a high level of satisfaction.
Requirements:
  1. Experience in refrigeration systems or the food industry is preferred, but not essential.
  2. Ability to work independently and take responsibility for the standard of your work.
  3. Proven customer service skills and a proactive attitude.
  4. City and Guilds F-Gas qualification.
  5. IPAF certification (desirable but not essential).
  6. Level 2 NVQ Diploma in installing and maintaining refrigeration systems (desirable but not essential).
  7. Full UK driving licence.
Benefits:
  1. Competitive salary of £30,000 - £36,000 per year.
  2. Weekday overtime paid at 1.5 times the normal rate and double time on weekends.
