Position Overview
As a pivotal member of the Digital Portfolio team, you will assume ownership and accountability for a variety of medium to large-scale IT and strategic projects, ensuring that all activities are executed with the backing of project sponsors.
This position necessitates exceptional stakeholder management capabilities within a client-customer framework, coupled with a strong sense of ownership and initiative to guarantee that both business and project resources are engaged and meeting project deadlines.
You will collaborate closely with the Head of Digital Applications and Portfolio, working alongside stakeholders to deliver and implement solutions and enhancements to operational practices, ensuring that new services provide a high-quality experience for the University's staff and students.
Candidate Profile
As a key contributor to the IT portfolio, you will be tasked with delivering high-quality, robust, resilient, responsive, and secure university-wide IT projects that offer customer-centric solutions aimed at enhancing service delivery.
The projects assigned will primarily focus on software applications and essential IT infrastructure provided by third-party vendors; thus, extensive experience in supplier management and software deployment in complex environments will be advantageous.
You should possess prior experience leading projects or demonstrate transferable skills relevant to this role. Familiarity with project environments, governance, financial tracking, gateway checkpoints, various project phases, stakeholder engagement at each phase, and standard project reporting protocols is essential.
Proficiency in creating project plans using tools such as MS Project and the ability to monitor project finances are also required.
