The Production Team Lead is responsible for managing production flow to meet quality and customer demands. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to ensure quality and development of future QAP leaders.
Key Responsibilities- Manage production flow to meet QAP goals and customer demands
- Work closely with the team to ensure quality and development of future QAP leaders
- Communicate across multiple departments to drive, improve, and monitor QAP companywide KPI's
- Ensure employee and departmental compliance with all QAP policies, procedures, values, and mission
- Identify and coach employees on maximizing production throughput by goal setting and removing obstacles
- Attend and actively participate in production meetings
- Provide continuous coaching to engage and motivate the team
- Foster a spirit of safety-first focus by conducting layered process audits
- Analyze near miss and OSHA recordable data to reduce future/potential injuries
- Enforce all safety policies and regulations
- Ensure production team is producing top-quality parts
- Work with management and operators to identify and resolve issues
- Facilitate communication between shipping and production departments on status of product fulfillment
- Monitor production levels to fill just-in-time or add-on orders
- Ability to maintain regular attendance at QAP facility
- Verify and process employee payroll, ensuring compliance with all federal regulations
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of managing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as Excel and Crystal reports
- Possess the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- May be asked to have a Forklift License to facilitate production
- Ability to be certified as a crane operator, forklift, and power lock-out procedures mastered
