Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer - Automation Specialist to join our team at TE Connectivity. As a key member of our Manufacturing Engineering Team, you will be responsible for leading process improvements and implementing automation solutions to drive productivity and growth across our site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement automation projects to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing Engineering team to design and develop manufacturing processes and automation platforms.
  • Support the selection and optimization of tools for piece part production and manufacturing concepts.
  • Act as an interface between engineering and production to ensure manufacturability of new designs and smooth production ramp-up.
  • Support the research & development teams to produce sample manufacturing equipment, product samples, and prototypes.
Requirements
  • HNC or Degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of industry experience in manufacturing engineering and automation.
  • Practical knowledge of assembly techniques and a background in manufacturing engineering.
  • Previous experience working with automation technologies and creating business case justifications for investment.
  • Experience using SAP and digital machine connectivity.
  • Project management skills and ability to use own initiative to troubleshoot problems in production areas.
  • Continuous improvement skills involving Material Replenishment and Flow, Cell Design, Quick Change Over (SMED), 5S+1, Mistake Proofing, and Standards of Work.
  • Drive and passion to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
